Activate could not exist without volunteers. There are various opportunities to volunteer within Activate, at a program or organisational level - opportunities to support, advise, facilitate, coach, and guest speak and Activate is always looking for administration support, Graphic Design, IT and Project Management skills and experience.

Being a volunteer is your chance to practice, enhance and develop skills, support, as well as make a positive contribution and feel fulfilled.

Different roles require different skills but Activate does look for the following qualities:

• Passion for empowering young people
• Desire to make a worthwhile contribution
• Interaction with others that elicits the resources from within rather than tell others what to do
• Completion of police check, code of conduct guidelines, child protection policy, statutory declaration and reference checks, (if working directly with young people).

The time involved as an Activate volunteer can vary from 4 hours, to 8 days, to ongoing involvement.
