Here’s everything you need to know ahead of Activate Conference. 

Before you arrive

Download the conference app

You’ll find everything you need to know including information about sessions, presenters, sponsors, exhibitors and lunchtime meetings. You’ll also be able to participate in session Q&A, provide feedback about the conference and connect with fellow delegates. 

Dress code

The dress code for Activate Conference is business casual. 

Getting to Activate – plan your trip

Activate Conference is located at North Terrace, Adelaide Convention Centre. The best entry is via the central entry, accessible via the escalators on North Terrace. 

On arrival

Registration


Head to the Activate Conference registration desk, located on the ground floor. You can self-register anytime from 8:00am – please allow time to register before the first session. 


You’ll receive your lanyard and access pass – please always wear this throughout the Conference.  


ESSA staff will be available at the registration desk during the following times:

Thu, 30 April | 8:00am - 5:30pm 

Fri, 1 May | 8:00am - 5:00pm

Exhibition hall


The Exhibition Hall located in Hall H is where you’ll find exhibitors and sponsors, as well as refreshment stations in breaks and lunchtimes. The Welcome Reception will be held here from 5:30pm on day 1, Thursday 30 April.


The Exhibition Hall will be open at the following times.

Fri, 1 May | 8:00am to 5:00pm 

Sat, 2 May | 8:00am to 3:00pm

Join Carli Saw from Strawberry Seed Consulting for a focused lunch time session on the Fair Work Commission’s review of the Health Professionals and Support Services Award 2020. You’ll get clear, direct insights on what’s changing and what it means for you. 

 

Career Pathways with Kieser | Hall B 

 

If you’re passionate about shaping a stronger Australia, this session will explore the diverse career pathways at Kieser, how clinicians grow within our the Kieser model, and the opportunities available across their national network.  

Social program


We have a packed social program in store for you, including:

Day 1, Thu 30 April | 5:30-7:30pm – Welcome Reception

Day 2, Fri 1 May | 7:00-8:00am – Run with Indigenous Marathon Foundation (IMF) Run Leaders. Meet IMF Patron and Activate keynote presenter, Robert de Castella AO MBE before enjoying a 5km morning run along the river with the IMF run leaders.

Day 2, Fri 1 May | 5:00-6:15pm - Pre-screening of IMF’s The Long Run documentary

Day 3, Sat 2 May | 7:00-11:30pm - ESSA Awards night

Post conference

ESSA CPD points & certificate 

ESSA members will earn ESSA CPD points for attending Activate Conference. 

3 days, 20 CPD points 

2 days, 15 CPD points 

1 day, 8 CPD points 

Your certificate of attendance for your logbook evidence will be automatically uploaded to your electronic logbook for you by 31 July 2026. Please complete the ESSA Self-Assessment Tool as supporting evidence of earning the applicable CPD points.
